5 of 5 Great quality and quite Sunday, August 16, 2009 [Y]urimaster from Virginia
Good PSU for my budget server that has ASUS P5QL/EPU with Intel Xeon E3110, evga 9500gt and 3 SATA hard drivers. This unit runs cool and quite but when on backup battery it makes a high pitch sound. Yet another solid PSU from Corsair and I own the HX1000 Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Just what I wish for... Tuesday, February 10, 2009 A Customer from Marietta Georgia
This is the second vx 450 I've bought. Great power and so nice and quite. And it has the 8 pin CPU power instead of just the 4. Was this review helpful?

I was amazed by the simple and quick installation. The psu operates so silently that I did not think it was running at first. It was! I am very pleased and would highly recommend this unit. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 no problems so far Sunday, November 16, 2008 A Customer from San Jose, CA
Bought two of them for my home machines and have had them for about 3 weeks now with no problem. Just bought a Radeon HD 4830 and so far everything's holding up on my quad core q6600.
Installation was straightforward.
Would have been more straightforward had both boxes included extra ties to wrap up the wiring. Unfortunately, the first one did not, so by the time I found them in the second box, I had already installed and maneuvered the wiring away from airflow areas and fans in the first machine. Don't know if the implication is that some of these may have been open box returns or not.

5 of 5 Good Product Monday, October 20, 2008 A Customer from Philadelphia, PA
You need thousands of dollars in testing equipment to properly review a PSU. This product line is some of the best and at a fair price according to every reviewer. 5 year warrenty. Buy.com says it takes 8-10 weeks to give you your rebate :/ but I still have hope that it will arrive. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Put it in and turn it on Sunday, October 12, 2008 Torleiv Flatebo from Minneapolis, MN
No problems after one months use. Easy install, neat that they included some zip ties in the packaging for a neat install. Was this review helpful?

Need it to replace a faulty Dell specific PSU. This baby is cool, quiet, provides more juice than the Dell's, and came with a switch. Plus it fits the Dell PSU's opening with very little improvise. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Excellent power supply for one video card Sunday, October 05, 2008 A Customer from Stamford, CT
Excellent power supply for systems with one video card. It does not make any noise, provides enough power for all, but dual video card systems and is very efficient (see article in anandtech). Warranty is incredible 5 years and I know from my prior experience that arranging a replacement unit from Corsair is a very smooth process.
Overall it is very hard to find any fault in it. Some people would prefer modular cable but fixed is fine with me. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Quiet, Powerful, and Satisfying! Tuesday, September 30, 2008 Gort from MI, USA
This is my third Corsair PS, the others are HX620 and VX550. All are running quite well, no problems to report. I rate the VX450 a great value given the strong performance and long warranty. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 VERY QUIET, A LOT OF CONNECTORS. Friday, September 19, 2008 Nivaldo Silva from Astoria, NY
Before, I had a power supply that was making a lot noise, too loud and the fan never reduced the speed. I bought the Corsair VX 450w ATX12V Power Supply and my problem was resolved. The only sound I hear is from my processor cooler and video card.
I am very happy that I found this power supply, it’s highly recommended. The price is good; I would pay more if necessary, because I like quality.
Thanks Corsair.

5 of 5 Incredible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Tuesday, February 12, 2008 pkleibusch from Marquette, MI
Placed order for Corsair 450-VX power supply (PSU) through the Google Checkout on Sunday Feb. 10th-Received E-mail confirmation that order was received on same day-Notified the order was shipped on Monday Feb. 11th-Received the PSU on Tuesday Feb. 12th.
I spent approx. 1 1/2 hour installing it (my 1st) into my son's new Dell 531. No problems so far. I can only suggest that if you need a PSU and you don't have a lot of room in your case get a modular style.
I am way beyond satisfied with the service of Buy.com/Google Checkout. You will always be my 1st choice for hardware. Which remins me, I'll be needing an ASUS EN8800GT/G/HTDP/512M for the Dell. How about a Powercolor 3850 AGP 8X when they get to the USA and a Thermaltake W0099RU ATX12V 250 Watts Graphic Card PSU for my funky Vaio PC so I can run it!
Sincerely,
Amazed before I was halfway through Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 perfect Saturday, December 01, 2007 killb0x from michigan
runs my x2 (4000+ Brisbane @ 3GHz), 8800gts 320, 2gb ddr2 ram, SATA DVD Burner and 300g HD, and 120g ATA HD. at a 3ghz Overclock from 2.1 nothing is at stock voltages and i have never had a problem from this PSU. some are turned off by its low wattage but if you read the reviews its quality, not quantity that makes this an awesome PSU. and to prove it, any wattage calculator would say my computer needs ~500w and i run this 450 for about 6months not a single problem.
true high quality unit. iv not been worried for a second about PSU blowout. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 VX450 Friday, October 19, 2007 ps2cho from Aliso Viejo, CA
You cannot find a more silent and cool looking power supply. The rails are solid and JohnnyGuru even highly recommends this power supply. Anybody who needs a good solid power supply for a single graphics card should look at this. Even if your pushing a 8800GTS and a Intel Core 2 Extreme, this should handle it fine! 5 of 5 Best for the money! Monday, October 01, 2007 Noya from Oregon
This PSU is easily the best at it's current price of sixty five shipped. Top-tier brand, 80%+ effeciency, 33amps on the +12v rail, LONG sheathed cables, 120mm fan, etc. Add to that the 5 YEAR warranty and great Corsair customer service and it's a no brainer. This will easily power any single-card system (8800gtx). Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 An excellent power supply for HTPCs Tuesday, September 25, 2007 HTPC owner from San Jose, CA
For those that are looking for an excellent power supply for a Home Theater PC, look no further. I've done some research on finding the best value and quality for a quiet pc that would be used in the family room. This power supply is actually manufactured by seasonic which is a very hi-quality power supply company that's known for quiet and efficient power supplies. Just do a search and you'll see. Corsair just rebrands this in their own name but the components are the same. The advantage of going with the Corsair is the fact they use Japanese components versus the cheaper power supplies that use Taiwanese or Chinese components.
Pros: quiet (you can't hear it unless you put your ear to the case), efficient, hi-quality components, nice packaging
Cons: the internal cables are attached to the power supply (non-modular) so you can't detach what you don't need. I just had to tuck unused cables out of the way with plastic ties that come with the power supply. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Great 450W psu Sunday, September 09, 2007 A Customer from State College, PA
This power supply is pretty amazing. It would be an amazing deal if it was about 10 dollars cheaper (becoming the retail price of an Antec Earthwatts 430w). However, besides the price, I've been running this for a few days now under a 9800se (oc'ed), old p4 2.6 (oc'ed), sound card, 2 optical drives, 1 sata drive, 1 case fan and I've had no problems. There's about a <2% voltage difference from the 3 volt rail and it's great on the 5, 12 volt rail. 5 year replacement guarantees that you could just leave it running for a long time. Use this power supply to power sensible LOADS, do not use this to power quad-core cpus with SLI/Crossfire video cards. Those loads are not sensible. However, if you have a c2d cpu and a midrange/semi-highend video card then get this...efficient, quiet psu. Was this review helpful?
